About Napa Valley Waldorf Education Foundation

The Napa Valley Waldorf Education Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, began in 1998 as a parent- driven initiative to bring Waldorf Education to the Napa Valley region. This effort was key in sustaining Waldorf Education in Napa and re-creating a Waldorf early childhood program, Apple Garden. Out of the Apple Garden program, with the energy and foresight of many individuals, the initiative was granted a K-12 charter, which created the opportunity to open Napa Valley Charter School (now called Stone Bridge School), a public charter elementary school with a curriculum that is inspired by Waldorf Education.

The Foundation currently supports Apple Garden, Stone Bridge School, Waldorf homeschooling groups, adult education, festivals, and fairs. Our commitment is to bring this distinctive education to the community within the greater Napa Valley area through diverse means.
